High Formability

NANOALLOY™ technology enables nano-level dispersion of resins with differing ratios of hard and soft components to freely control elastic modulus at a given temperature. Furthermore, Toray succeeded in developing a highly formable film by realizing finer control of elastic modulus at a given temperature through highly accurate lamination of layers with varying elastic modulus with the high precision lamination technology in film forming, the product of years of experience.

The material can be controlled to give ultra-low elastic modulus in the mold temperature range and therefore it shows exceptional mold fitting properties. In vacuum forming, the technology also allows reproduction of complex shapes, which was difficult with existing films.
